Do you have a minimum?
As much as we'd like to take everyone we do have.a minimum of our Curated Bridal Package or if you choose a la carte it is a minimum of a bridal makeup plus 4 makeup or bridal makeup and hair plus 2.
How much is required to put down?
Columbus Wedding Makeup, LLC, receives several inquiries throughout the year and dates fill up quickly. Therefore, we require a 50% non-refundable retainer by credit card and signed contract to secure your wedding day. The retainer will be applied toward your hair and/or makeup services. Your retainer is non-refundable for reasons including but not limited to; cancellation of wedding, date change, change in services, weather, sickness, etc.) If your wedding is cancelled before 60 days your retainer is only required and non-refundable. If the contract is cancelled 60 days or less the full amount is owed.
Final payment (remaining balance after 50% deposit is made) is due 14 days prior to your wedding day.
Services contracted will not be taken away. You are encouraged to contract with the minimum*. You may add people & services later; up to 30 days before your wedding.
Final hair and/or makeup count may not ever be less than the minimum required. Once the final hair and/or makeup count has been received (30 days prior to your wedding) and contracted services cannot be adjusted. When adding additional service the timeline will most likely need to be adjusted as well to ensure that we have sufficient time and stylists to accommodate additional services. Additional fees may apply, such as additional artist or assistant to the artist. An additional deposit must be retained if the amount added exceeds more than double the original amount.
A $100 per hour charge per artist will be added to weddings that have a "getting ready/start time" earlier than 8 am.
Because Holidays are premium dates we do have a flat $100 charge that will be added to weddings booked on a holiday or holiday weekend. These dates and times are limited. We typically take limited weddings on Memorial Day.
Can I add services the day of my wedding?
We want to make your day very enjoyable, relaxed and stress free! Day of add-ons will be at the discretion of the artists/stylists and subject to an up charge of $25. Adding services the day of will be contingent on time and the artist/stylist decision. There may not be time to add anyone and therefore the artist will decline the service that was not already contracted for.
We can help the wedding party add extensions. We prefer to work with Bella Donna extensions and we reserve approval of your personal choice of extensions. We will not work with or install Halo extensions. They are not professional and are cumbersome to use. They are not to be used for a special day as a wedding. There will be an additional charge of $35 for styling and curling this extra hair. Hair extensions that are brought by wedding party members who do not make us aware of them before the wedding day will not be installed.
What if your bridal party is running late?
We strive to make every effort to ensure a specific start and end time for client services is maintained. Therefore, we ask that you respect these timelines by ensuring all wedding party members receiving services arrive at or before the start time listed on the final invoice and confirmation letter. A late fee of $100 per hour per stylist due to late client and/or wedding party members. This may be applicable if artists are waiting for the wedding party. We are prompt and expect you to be as well. We also will not wait around beyond a reasonable time, if someone is running late. If they are not present during the time frame our service time will not be extended. Timelines are important and changes should be approved by the company before they are made for the day.
Do you TRAVEL?
Yes, We love to travel and don't mind the outlying areas of Central Ohio and beyond. Travel beyond these above limits will be looked at as a case by case basis, i.e., destination weddings. Our travel fee typically outside of 270 is $.63 per mile per artist both ways per IRS guidelines. We would love to be with you at any of your destination locations or even closer to home.
We do request that you cover parking for artists traveling downtown and free parking is not readily available. Most parking or valet in downtown Columbus is approximately $20-$30 we will let the valet know your room number or name in most situations.
If any additional charges are incurred the day of, the contract is broken and/or conditions were not met, the remaining amount of those charges will be due at time of service and/or invoiced to the client. Additional services on the day of the wedding will be subject to artist discretion and can be refused.
Do you offer a DISCOUNT?
We offer a Military Discount. Thank you so much for your service and all you do for our country. We do not forget the sacrifice you have made & we are grateful for it. We offer a discount of 5% for military personnel. Please provide identification for the discount to be applicable. We do not offer any other discounts due to the extensive level of customer service we provide along with the luxury nature of our products and service.
Do you offer a BRIDAL PREVIEW/TRIAL?
All trial services are done in our rented time at salon at Studio Local, 1781 W. 5th Ave. Columbus, Ohio, on select Sunday’s of each month. All of our packages include trial services. We, however, do not typically offer trials without a commitment/contract. We are in high demand and to be sure we are 100% dedicated to our brides we do not hold conditional trials. A la carte services may opt out of a trial, but we discourage this. Trials are an important part of the process and help you envision your day!
