RESERVING YOUR DATE:
Columbus Wedding Makeup, LLC, receives several inquiries throughout the year and dates fill up quickly. Therefore, we require a 50% non-refundable retainer by credit card and signed contract to secure your wedding day. The retainer will be applied toward your hair and/or makeup services. Your retainer is non-refundable for reasons including but not limited to; cancellation of wedding, date change, change in services, weather, sickness, etc.) If your wedding is cancelled before 60 days your retainer is only required and non-refundable. If the contract is cancelled 60 days or less the full amount is owed.
Final payment (remaining balance after 50% deposit is made) is due 14 days prior to your wedding day. Services contracted will not be taken away, you may add services. We ask that you initially contract for the minimum of services you are sure of. Then you may add services up to 30 days prior to your wedding day. Final hair and/or makeup count may not ever be less than the minimum required (Minimum is bridal service(s) plus 3 additional services). Once final hair and/or makeup count has been received (30 days prior to your wedding) and contracted services cannot be adjusted. When adding additional service the timeline will most likely need to be adjusted as well to ensure that we have sufficient time and stylists to accommodate additional services. Additional fees may apply, such as additional artist admin fee ($50.). Day of add-ons will be at the discretion of the artists/stylists and subject to an up charge of $20.
A $50 charge per artist will be added to weddings that have a "getting ready/start time" earlier than 8 am. and an additional $50 for every 1/2 hour earlier than that initial hour.
Because Holidays are premium dates we do have a flat $100 charge will be added to weddings booked on a holiday or holiday weekend. These dates and times are limited. We do not take weddings on Memorial Day.
What if your bridal party is running late?
We strive to make every effort to ensure a specific start and end time for client services is maintained. Therefore, we ask that you respect these timelines by ensuring all wedding party members receiving services arrive at or before the start time listed on the final invoice and confirmation letter. A late fee of $50 per stylist shall be assessed for each half hour extension required due to late client and/or wedding party members. This may be applicable if artists are waiting for the wedding party. We are prompt and expect you to be as well. We also will not wait around beyond a reasonable time, if someone is running late. If they are not present during the time frame our service time will not be extended.
We absolutely travel to you on your special day. Check out our post over on the blog for detailed information and why having your bridal artist come to you on your wedding day. Our stylist(s) come prepared and ready to make your wedding day prep-time fun and relaxing. There's no reason to have our brides driving around and rushing through a salon on your Wedding Day! For our team to come to you on location, travel is included within I-270 of Columbus. Once your prep location is outside I-270 more than 60 miles round trip, we do charge a flat rate of $120. It is round-trip from the artist's location. For pricing purposes we will use zip code 43215. Once we determine which artist/stylist is assigned to your wedding we will confirm the travel cost. Travel beyond these above limits will be looked at as a case by case basis. We would love to be with you at any of your destination locations!! Travel fee will be calculated by Tami, the Owner, discussed and agreed upon before any contract is executed). We do request that you cover parking for artists traveling downtown and free parking is not readily available. Most parking or valet in downtown Columbus is between $10-$30.
If any additional charges are incurred the day of, the contract is broken and/or conditions were not met, the remaining amount of those charges will be due at time of service and/or invoiced to the client. Additional services on the day of the wedding will be subject to artist discretion and can be refused.
We offer a Military Discount. Thank you so much for your service and all you do for our country. We do not forget what your sacrifice is and we are grateful for it. We offer a discount of 10% for military personnel. We as well, want to honor any first responders. (Police, Fire & EMT’s) Please provide identification for the discount to be applicable. We do not offer any other discounts due to the extensive level of customer service we provide along with the luxury nature of our products.
All trial services are done in our rented salon at Studio Local, 1781 W. 5th Ave. Columbus, Ohio, on select Sunday’s of each month. With all bridal packages a Trial is included unless the bride opts out. We, however, do not typically offer trials without a commitment during peak bridal season. We are in high demand and to be sure we are 100% dedicated to our brides we do not hold conditional trials. But as 2020 has changed the way we will be doing this.
